  • I mentioned awhile ago that I was pondering posting an audioblog of me singing.

I’m not professionally trained or anything..I just kind of enjoy doing it.

So here’s that source of fun.

I’m warning you: LISTEN AT YOUR OWN RISK!

  • Before I had any training, I was a lot, lot worse than that. You’re actually not that bad (actually, I’d say we sing on about the same level now, and I’ve had training). Your sense of pitch is pretty good, though some parts are still kind of off-key (you’re not tone deaf at all), and you’re much more accurate in the middle to mid-high part of your range (common for a female). Your tone is pretty good; it’s a little bit breathy, but that comes with time.

If you got some lessons, I don’t think it would take long to tune you up at all. You’ve really got potential (just like I always knew). See if you can maybe take a voice class in college as an elective – it’s amazing what a professional voice teacher can do in just a semester.

I have to admit though, I’m pretty jealous. You’re doing now what it took me years of training to do. You’ve got some degree of natural ability. I do not. Keep it up!

  • You’ve got a good voice!
